So Duke Nukem Forever is finally out, it’s only been 15 years and it would seem that those 15 years have managed to gather the franchise something of a following. Although a lot of the reviews so far have been on the negative side, Duke Nukem Forever has managed to jump straight into first place on the selling charts! L.A. Noire doesn’t know what hit it.

Deus Ex Screens

A head of the release of the highly anticipated Deus Ex: Human Revolution in August, Square-Enix have treated us to a host of new screen shots for the game. Deus Ex: Human Revolution takes place 25 years prior to the first game and will feature Adam Jensen who after a severe attack has to fight his way to stop a conspiracy that threatens the world and himself. Final Fantasy XIII-2 News

Square Enix have created the second direct squeal to it’s Final Fantasy series in the form of Final Fantasy XIII-2. The game takes place a few years after the events in FFXIII. Some of the survivors have decided to rebuild Gran Pulse and Lightning is presumed dead. Keeping the faith alive, Serah believes otherwise. Her town is then overrun by monsters, and a strange man named Noel saves her, the adventure begins when they set off to find Lightening. Read On

Wii U Friends & More

Little is known about the Wii U at the moment save for the controller. At E3 we weren’t even shown the console until after the conference. Since E3 however Nintendo and a few well known developers have given us an insight to the wonder machine. Firstly Nintendo have confirmed that the disk reader in the Wii U will be a Nintendo Media Optical Disk – such as the ones found for the Wii, however they will have a massive 25GB of storage. This is the same as a single layered Blu-Ray disk. Interestingly though Nintendo have neither confirmed or denied that Wii U will support Blu-Ray. We think chances are slim considering the track record for Nintendo being a gaming machine. Read On

Epic Games Suffer Hackers

Epic Games have been the latest video game company to be hacked, adding to the growing list of companies suffering problems. Both Epic Games’ website and forum were taken down for maintenance while they reset everyone’s passwords. While the Gears Of War creators do not ask for any credit card details for their sites, they did confirm that email addresses may have been taken. Read On

Nintendo UK Advises of Phishing Problems

In the latest spat of gaming websites being comprised, the official Nintendo UK website has been updated to advise that there’s a large problem with phishing. Phishing is where an e-mail or website pretends to be another, this is usually a method employed by people who are after your personal details.

Codemasters Confirms User Data Stolen

Codemasters have confirmed that on the 3rd June 2011, their official website underwent a sustained attack from crackers currently unknown. Codemasters, the UK’s largest games publisher, have advised that personal details have been stolen, such as names, ages, dates of birth and contact information. Fortuantely no credit card information or other financial details have been stolen in the attack.
