Red PS3 hitting shelves earlier than expected

May 4th. Stick it in your diary – it is the brand new release date of the new red  320GB PS3.

Amazon have since changed the date of the release on their website to keep updated. Although, nice and shiny red, it will set you back £249.99, although it has been found cheaper on various other pre-order sites, so look around. For example, Play.com is expected to sell it at a slightly cheaper £239.99 – every penny counts.

As already reported on, the new 320 GB console will include a red Dualshock 3 controller and can be pre-ordered.
