Halo 2 anniversary edition?

Official Xbox Magazine have brought an interesting tid-bit of information to our ears. Following the success of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition and the momentum that Halo 4 is building, it comes as little surprise that Halo 2 will receive a high definition make over on the Xbox 360 later this year.

If true, this means 343 Industries who have taken the mantle from Bungie have been working on the revamped game along side the latest entry into the series. And excerpt from the magazine states that “Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary.”

The game will be eight years old this year and seems like a random number to celebrate, however if development into the game is only getting started, it could be a couple of more years before we see Halo 2 in HD and possibly on the next Xbox.
