Gamestation to disappear
The Game group have announced that it will consolidate its Gamestation brand and move forward with only GAME stores remaining. By the end of October Gamestation stores will have either been rebranded GAME or closed completely depending on the situation in each town. Part of this decision was spurred on after the group went into administration earlier this year. To encourage gamers who always used the Station GAME will launch an improved loyalty scheme as well as other new features.
A new loyalty scheme will be rolled out that combines both GAME and Gamestation reward cards in order to offer more games be them new, old, physical or even digital variants. They also promise to improve their PC offerings.
Free Wifi in shops and new mobile GAME apps will be launched to make buying video games even easier. Gamestation’s “We won’t be beaten on trade-ins” challenge will still stand in additional effort to bring the customers to the GAME stores.
