Assassin’s Creed Anthology
Assassin’s Creed 3 is now firmly doing the rounds since it released last week. Hitting the top spot in the UK and shipping millions of copies across the platforms and with a Wii U launch imminent and DLC on the way through out next year – everything seems to be going well for the publisher Ubisoft. Well Ubisoft don’t seem to think so as they have announced the Assassin’s Creed Anthology is to be released. The anthology is a collection of all five games plus all of the released downloadable content.
This will be available initially on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will include Assassin’s Creed 1-3 as well as Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. All previous downloadable content for single and multiplayer options will also be included as well as currently unreleased extras for Assassin’s Creed 3.
Ubisoft have yet to confirm a Wii U version which will undoubtably put up the noses of gamers holding out for the Wii U version, however they have not ruled it out completely as obviously, the first 4 games will take time to convert to the Nintendo platform as they have not been previously released on the console.
Depending on your outlook, the anthology isn’t cheap – an upfront cost of £120/€150 is confirmed by the retailer Amazon but that does work out at £24/€30 per game. You may well be able to find the first 4 games cheaper than that but with the additional content it does look as if this is the best option for new comers to the franchise and obviously, the collectors amongst us.
The Assassin’s Creed Anthology will launch on 30th November from Amazon for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
