Destiny 2 Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 Update Launches Today
Bungie have released their next generation update for Destiny 2 on the latest generation of consoles. The patch, which is free to gamers who have PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions, boasts a native 4K visuals and a silky smooth 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X & PS5. Gamers can also sacrifice the resolution for a 120FPS in PVP mode.
As Xbox Series S cannot run the game at 4K, it will be a 1080p/60FPS set up.
Bungie have also confirmed that cross-play between the family of consoles is possible, so it doesn’t matter if one of your squad hasn’t made the jump to the next generation just yet.
That’s not all! A trailer for the returning weapon, Exotic Hand Cannon Hawkmoon has been released. This forms part of the Season of the Hunt event happening in game right now.
This shows your clan having to work with Crow to reclaim and restore the weapon.
Return to the realm of the IX with the Prophecy dungeon. Face hordes of Taken and manipulate reality to solve intricate puzzles alongside fellow Guardians. What was once above is now below. And what was once Light is now Dark.
Destiny 2 can be purchased from either Xbox or PlayStation stores digitally, or if you have a PS4/Xbox One boxed copy, just pop it in to your shiny new console to take advantage of the new update.
