Nintendo Announces Remakes Of Famicom Detective Club. Localised Outside Of Japan For The First Time

Nintendo have announced that the Famicom Detective Club is not only getting a remake for Nintendo Switch, but they are being localised outside of Japan for the first time. As the name suggests, the series first appeared on the original Famicom in 1988.

Remade for the Switch, Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir & Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind are two visual novels that will have you exploring murders, hunting for clues and interrogating witnesses while you piece together the mysteries of each game.

Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir has investigating locals and piecing together what happened to cause a mysterious death in a small town of Japan. All while your character is struggling with amnesia.

Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind takes on a more supernatural approach as this time you will be tasked of finding out what is terrorising a group of school children.

Since this is the first time the games are being launched outside of Japan, we don’t have any hands on knowledge of the games. However the art style and presentation look great and we can’t wait to dive into these visual novel -esq mysteries.
