Nintendo’s Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Gets Expansion Pass
Nintendo have announced that you’ll be able to pre-purchase an expansion pass for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch in two phases within 2021.
Costing £17.99, Nintendo & developers Koei Tecmo have been remarkably light on the details expect that there’s a preorder bonus in the form of a new costume and weapon for Link. These will be available in May. Here’s the trailer.
There will be two content drops for the expansion pass:
Phase 1: June 2021
- Expanded roster
- New Weapon Types
- New challenges
- New challenging enemies
Phase 2: November 2021
- New character vignettes
- Newly added stages
- Expanded roster
- New battle skills
Don’t get us wrong, we love the expanded history the game brings to this new Breath of the Wild timeline. We simply don’t enough about the content to make a recommendation. We don’t know how many characters will be added to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. We don’t know how many challenges or stages will be coming either, so if you are on the fence about the additional content, we wouldn’t recommend pre-ordering at this stage.
If you’re going to preorder the expansion pass, it is available now in the Nintendo e-Shop.
