Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been given a brief showing by Activision today. A trailer just shy of 1 minute and thirty seconds has been revealed. As seen in the four previous trailers it features cities in England, America, France and Germany. The game takes place directly after the events of Modern Warfare 2 just as the world comes to war once more. As the trailer progresses we see New York completely devastated, with London, Berlin & Paris following closely behind.

From what we see in the trailer, the game is taking shape very nicely with stunning looking visuals and fluid movements of the soldiers.  As the trailer is only showcasing cutscenes one would expect the in game movements to be very similar as in previous installments of the game. With E3 only weeks away it would be safe to assume that Activision and Infinity Ward will be keen to showcase in game dynamics so a showing at the expo is very likely.

As the trailer draws to a close, the letters WW3 appear in bright green, the first W flipping round to form MW3, more excitingly the release date is further confirmed to what we’ve known for a while – 8th November. It is nice to hear from Activision themselves that this is the date.

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. has said in the accompanying statement “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most epic Call of Duty experience yet. The teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have worked tirelessly to create for the Call of Duty player a scale that is unimaginable with a level of polish and creativity that will push the genre forward,” he continued, “The passion and energy of our developers is reflected in everything about the title.  From the innovative gameplay, to the cinematic intensity, to the most advanced multiplayer ever, Modern Warfare 3 will raise the bar for this already incredible franchise.”

The game is available for preorder on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 now. Rumours are also rife about a potential Wii-lease as well, however there is no word from either Infinity Ward or Activision. As soon as VGamingNews have any information we will let you know! In the mean time, the trailer:
