Marvel’s Avengers Cosmic Cube Villain Event Begins Today

Square Enix have announced that the next free event for Marvel’s Avengers, which was teased during the Hawkeye: Future Imperfect storyline will release today when the latest patch has been pushed through. This will be available across all PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms where you can buy the game. Update 23/06/2021- With the update now going live, Square Enix advises PlayStation 5 players not to share any screenshots or broadcasts as their IP address can be exposed.

In an update from the game’s official twitter account, Square has said:

We are currently testing a solution to the issue of personal information, including the player's IP address and username, being displayed on screen on PS5 and plan to deploy a hotfix tomorrow at around 8AM PT.

8AM PT is 16.00 UK time so fingers crossed this hotfix sorts out the bug. In the meantime, if you’re playing on PlayStation 5 do not share any content from the game.

Original Story –

In the new event, players will be battling against Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini’s Cosmic Cube in a mission called “Beating the Odds.” This event is an action packed brawlfest as you battle to stop Monica creating the ultimate weapon.

Running alongside the main event is a limited time mission running from 24th June until 8th July.  The Cosmic Threat Event, has you searching for Cosmic energy trails caused by the Cosmic Cube. Players who take part will earn a unique animated nameplate, gear, and other valuable rewards.

This new Cosmic Cube event will continue the storyline from February’s Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect as well as leading into the next update Black Panther – War for Wakanda, which launches in August.
