Shin Megami Tensei V Gets New ‘Bethel’ Trailer
Atlus and Sega have released a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V ahead of it’s release in November. The J-RPG is set to release worldwide on 12th November as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. We have a few new screenshots to whet your appetite.
From Atlus’s PR:
When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks our protagonist’s walk home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious.
He awakens in a new Tokyo, a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at…but before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.
Travelling through Da’at, the protagonist has to search for the answers to his powers, and the struggles between the demons and mythical deities that inhabit the land in order to dictate the fate of the world. This means that as you progress through the game, choices have to be made. It’s up to you to decide if these will come at a cost to you or the world around you.
Shin Megami Tensei V is the latest in the long running RPG series and as well as your typical JRPG set up and huge story to navigate, when players battle demons, you’ll be given the opportunity to negotiate for their help. If you manage to recruit them to your party they’ll help you become a force to be reckoned with as you forge your own path between the forces of light and dark.
Unfortunately the YouTube video is age-gated so there’s no quick video below. You can click here to be taken straight to it. It’s certainly worth a watch as it teases the right amount of game play and story without giving anything away and we’ve popped a gallery of new images for you below, which includes another look at the lovely steel book.
Shin Megami Tensei V will release on Nintendo Switch from 12th November.
