Gamescom 2021 Indie Booth Presents: Golf Club Wasteland
What happens to the Earth when all human life has managed to mess things up they’ve had to migrate to Mars? Well developers Demagog Studios answers that convincingly with Golf Club Wasteland: turn Earth into a giant golf course for the ultra rich and it’s coming to all consoles and PC on 3rd September.
Golf Club Wasteland has you playing a relaxing game of golf in a post-apocalyptic world. Each hole has a snippet of a story revolving around the disaster of Earth, the mysterious golfer or the Radio Nostalgia From Mars broadcast gives a glimpse into the lives of those who escaped. As you play through various crumbling monuments, there is narration from a ‘secret spectator’ watching you from a distance.
If the main mode is too easy, there is a Challenge Mode to see if you can beat each hole under par using the environmental puzzles. If that’s not enough, then Iron Mode leaves almost zero room for error. Despite the setting and the subject matter Golf Club Wasteland is shaping up to be a lovely round of golf, perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Golf Club Wasteland is scheduled for release on 3rd September on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch & PC. The PC version has a demo and can be added to your Steam wishlist.
