LEGO Star Wars Battles Launches Today On Apple Arcade
While we eagerly await the release of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga next year, Warner Bros Games, TTGames Brighton & Lego have released LEGO Star Wars Battles on Apple Arcade. While we fully understand that mobile games aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, because LEGO Star Wars Battles is releasing on Apple Arcade, it’s worth noting there are no micro-transactions or adverts to put up with so what’s the harm in giving this RTS game a go, provided you have an Apple Arcade subscription that is…
LEGO Star Wars Battles is a One V One deck building game where you build your defences in a galaxy far far away and then try to destroy the invading forces of your opponent. Battles happen in real time, against real opponents and will employ a mix for attacking and defence in order to win.
As you draw a cards, the action unfolds in front of you and what’s even better is that you can build decks involving both sides of the Force. If you fancied building a deck of Jedi, featuring Rey, Luke and Obi-Wan Kenobi with the Millennium Falcon as your transport, then go ahead, although I am wondering how/why Jar Jar ended up on the light side… You can also succumb to the Dark Side with characters like Storm Troopers, Boba Fett and everyone’s favourite bad guys – the Porgs Darth Vader.
This might appear to be another strategy game, but the LEGO touches of humour are still present to keep you entertained. Characters will complain & Porgs will invade the battleground. Jason Avent who is the Studio Head over at TT Games Brighton wanted to explain getting the balance right between causal and hard core gamers:
It’s easy to pick-up and play while also offering deep strategy in deck building and innovative territory capture for more experienced players.
