Rec Rally Brings Vehicles to Social Game Rec Room Today
Developers Rec Room Inc, have finally released one of the most requested features of Rec Room as Rec Rally brings the vehicles to the game/social network. This update joins the free to play social network and releases across a wide variety of platforms – Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Steam & Oculus Quest 1 & 2.
Rec Rally allows up to six friends to race against each other or to explore the latest maps in Rec Room. The races that take place are one on one, but before the match, up to three people can jump in a buggy and explore the new landscapes. If you didn’t want to race, why not grab a paintball gun and take on others in a vehicle vs vehicle combat race?
Rec Room CEO and co-founder Nick Fajt had this to say about the inclusion of vehicles:
“Vehicles have been a top request from the community for a long time. It’s always been on our list, but we wanted to wait until we could do it right…” “Creating a fun and exciting Rec Rally racing experience is a challenging task, but we wanted to go beyond that to provide a vehicle that creators could modify, program, and use in their rooms. We wanted a vehicle that could be modified to be used in racing rooms, PvP rooms, obstacle courses, and others. It took us a long time to build a vehicle that was extensible enough to do all that, but we’re really happy with the results.”
Nick Fajt, Rec Room CEO

You create your own Mii-looking avatar, explore rooms, quest and chat with friends, and as of today, race with them too. It’s a wholesome experience meant to encourage players to play together.
Rec Rally is available now as part as Rec Room across Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Steam & Oculus Quest 1 & 2.
