Fantastic News For PSN Users
The long suffering PlayStation Network is finally having the full service brought back online by Friday this week. This closes the long and drawn out restoration of the PSN which first went down on the 21st April. It has taken over a month for Sony to rebuild and secure the Network after a vicious attack left the log on and personal details of over 77 million world wide users at risk.
As part of the rebuild, Sony have also employed outside help in securing the network to prevent further attacks. Also they have a continuing investigation on the cause of the attack.
The service was partially restored on 15th May so online gaming could resume. By Friday the full service including the PlayStaion Store will be available once again. Interestingly enough this applies to all territories except for Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea, where the service will be brought back a few days later.
