Egglia: Rebirth Makes Way Onto Switch In February
EGGLIA: Rebirth is a making an appearance on the Nintendo Switch in February. Coming from Japanese developers Brownies, EGGLIA: Rebirth is a port of iOS and Android title, EGGLIA: Legend of the Redcap that released back in 2017, but has been fine tuned for a console release.
Releasing on 10th February, this turn based RPG sees a redcap named Chabo, who has fallen from the sky and landed on the continent of Egglia. During his exploration of the strange land he encounters a series of mythical eggs that can be hatched to unlock different lands. Along the journey Chabo helps residents gather materials to grow villages and defend against monsters that are hunting him.
Battles take place using a turn-based dice combat system with grid movements and careful resource management, so an element of strategy is required in order to defeat the monsters and collect the materials needed to move through the game.
Designed by Shinichi Kameoka and Koji Tsuda, who are best know for the iconicart style in the Secret of Mana series, EGGLIA: Rebirth features a wealth of changes from the mobile entry. The graphics, UI and controls have all been updated for console use, with more than 50 new events added in. Chabo is free to roam the map and the number of residents have been increased giving the game more life. As you might know, I’m kind of a big fan of S-RPGs so am interested to see how this turns out.
EGGLIA: Rebirth arrives on the 10th February for Nintendo Switch.
