Horizon Forbidden West Gets A Huge Update Today
As part of Sony’s State of Play, the team at Guerrilla games have announced that Horizon Forbidden West will be getting a free update on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 today. Along with some visual tinkering, there’s a new game+ and a special challenge.
The main headline is that Horizon will be adding both a New Game+ and Ultra Hard mode for those players who want to ramp up the challenge further. There’s also a host of quality-of-life features including a transmog feature which allows the easy customisation of cosmetics equipped to Aloy’s outfit. Players are now able to freely reset their skill points and redistribute them.
This update also comes with a dedicated trophy pack for those looking for an incentive to play through Ultra Hard within New Game+.
In the visual department Temporal Anti-Aliasing will be used to improve the visual fidelity of Performance mode on PS5 and rendering on PS4 Pro and there will be a patch that includes VRR support and a 40FPS Mode, for the PS5 version of the game.
Horizon Forbidden West is out now for both PlayStation 5 and PS4. These updates are free to all players and will be available now.
