Check Out Gameplay From The Callisto Protocol

The Callisto protocol had its unveiling last week during Sony’s State of Play event but as part of Summer Game Fest, the latest science fiction survival horror game has shown off more than two minutes of gameplay.

In the video we see the protagonist Jacob Lee wandering around a prison on Jupiter’s Callisto moon. Captured using one of the current gen platforms, we get a glimpse at the early stages of the game when Jacob is working out what’s gone wrong. As he starts to uncover why the prison is in the state it is, he’s attacked by one of the prison inmates.

The Callisto Protocol looks to employ close-quarters combat with what looks like limited weaponry. Jacob is seen as using the environment to help defeat the ex-inmates who’ve been turned into some form of mutated nasties. The trailer also sets up the various ways players will meet their end in a hilarious, yet gruesome fashion.

The Callisto Protocol is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4 & Xbox One on 2nd December.
