MSI Kicks Off 2023 With A New Range Of RTX-40 Gaming Machines
Laptop manufactures MSI have kicked off 2023 by announcing their latest range of machines at CES 2023. The updated range features powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 GPUs and can be configured with Intel’s latest 13th Gen CPU to create a portable powerhouse that’s capable of running even the most demanding games.
MSI’s GeForce RTX 40 Series of laptops will be coming in several different forms, from the high-end Titan series to the entry gaming Katana series, they are designed around players budgets. All are powered by the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, and are paired with AI-powered DLSS 3 to enhance games to compete with the current gen of gaming. Full ray tracing also comes part of the course and leads MSI to claim that overall performance has been increased by up to 45% over previous models.
Part of this boils down to the new thermal design, as all the heat pipes have been redesigned to shared pipes, dedicated pipes, and VRAM-exclusive pipes, to assure the performance will be fully delivered when it’s needed. In fact, eight of the these models have been NVIDIA Studio validated, not only in the Content Creation series (which has been standard for the last few years) but also in the Gaming series.
For the Raider GE, Vector GP, and Stealth series, they come equipped with a 16:10 QHD+ 240Hz refresh rate display which on paper would make games looks absolutely crisp. The super-high end Titan GT is equipped with a 4K/144Hz Mini LED display that produces 1000 nits of peak brightness with over 1000 local-dimming zones. Keyboard fans (and Drew) has something to look forward to as the keycaps come in a futuristic translucent design that highlight the WASD keys, along with all the usual shortcuts.

UK release dates and pricing has yet to be confirmed but to manage expectations, these machines won’t be cheap. Granted they will not appeal to everyone, but for those looking to game without a big bulky machine drawing massive amounts of power, these look set to be great options.
