Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine Is The Next Game In Super Meat Boy Series

Thunderful, Headup, and Team Meat are bringing a brand new game to the Super Meat Boy universe featuring none other than Meat Boy’s archenemy, Dr. Fetus in Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine. This is a match-4 puzzler that draws strong Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine vibes but comes with its own twist.

Mean Meat Machine is due for release in 2023 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC and looks as difficult as the rest of the games in the series. You’ll get to puzzle your way through familiar locations from Super Meat Boy and Super Meat Boy Forever, like the forest, hospital, and salt factory.

Picking up right after the events of Super Meat Boy Forever, Dr. Fetus has analyzed Meat Boy and has all the data he needs to create the perfect clone. But there’s a problem – the DNA sample he collected isn’t perfect, which means the clones aren’t perfect either. Dr. Fetus’ solution is to create ruthless test chambers to weed out the bad clones from the good ones. Over time, that cute, little, grotesque face that Dr. Fetus hates so much starts to emerge.

As you move through over 100 hand-crafted levels, Dr. Fetus has cooked up some deadly hazards like buzzsaws and missiles to make sure you’re fully challenged throughout your time with the game, each with creative traps that will keep you on your toes. If you can survive this hardcore puzzle-action gameplay, you’ll be rewarded with a gruesome boss fight at the end of each world.

The stunning artwork has once again been created by the original Super Meat Boy and Super Meat Boy Forever artists, as well as the awesome soundtrack provided by RIDICULON.
