We’ve been a big fan of Super Rare Games for a while now. We’ve tackled the tough platformer Grapple Dog and felt sombre over a cup of coffee with Necrobarista, and while each game was great, the physical copies were only limited to Nintendo Switch. Well, things are about to change as the UK company have confirmed they will ramp up production on the PlayStation side of things.

To kick things off the team have announced that Flynn: Son of Crimson, The Touryst, and Source of Madness will be the first three games in the new line up. Each game will release physically on the PS4, with Source of Madness also seeing a PS5 release.

The new PlayStation line-up will be priced at £29 + tax + relevant delivery costs, regardless of if it’s a PS4 or PS5 disc. The first three games are expected to ship in August and much like the Switch versions, will include a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and a slipcover.

As always, any physical games produced by Super Rare Games are exactly that – rare. Flynn: Son of Crimson ands The Touryst, will be limited to 2000 copies each. As Source of Madness is releasing on both PS4 and PS5, it will be limited to 2000 copies per platform.

Speaking of platforms, Super Rare have confirmed that sequential numbering will be applied separately to PS4 and PS5 games so Source of Madness will be PS4 #3 and PS5 #1. This is handy for players looking to keep a complete set of PS5 games as they don’t have to worry about picking up PS4 versions.

Preorders for Flynn: Son of Crimson, The Touryst, and Source of Madness go live next week on 22 June at 6PM BST from directly from Super Rare Games.
