Square Enix Acknowledges The Existence Of Long Missing RPG
Square Enix have launched a tie-in event in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius featuring Aya Brea from the survival horror-RPG, Parasite Eve. The game released on the original PlayStation and spawned two sequels, the last if which was in 2010 for the PSP.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is a spin-off from the mainline Final Fantasy series that has players engaging in turn-based battles in order to restore balance to the world. The free-to-play mobile game is available for both Android and iOS and frequently hosts events bringing in characters from Square’s most popular franchises.
Aya Brea is available in-game until 11 October and will feature two signature looks from the horror franchise, firstly in her standard NYPD cop outfit, with her changing into her iconic dress during Brave Shift phase. In two new events, players can take on theMitochondria Eve monster to unlock various in-game goodies.
The news itself is by no means a confirmation that Square are working on a new entry to Parasite Eve but after seeing success with the Final Fantasy VII remake, and sequels to both Octopath Traveller and Bravely Default, it seems Square are at least open to exploring old properties.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is out now on iOS and Android devices.
