A.K.I Joins The Fight In Street Fighter 6

The newest fighter to the Street Fighter 6 line-up, A.K.I, is now available as part of the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game or as part of the Year 1 season pass. Capcom have also confirmed that the Chinese student of F.A.N.G is also available in-game for 350 Fighter Coins.

A.K.I is a new fighter to the long running series and is a midrange brawler who utilises long nails to swipe at enemies. Like her mentor, she can also use poison effects to slow down combatants and create openings for long combos. As usual for Street Fighter 6, the addition of a new character brings additional Master Missions, New NPCs, and new locations to be explored.

As we approach Halloween, it seems that A.K.I is the perfect new character to kick off the spookiest time of the year. With her snake-like moves and the ability to shoot poison before starting a combo means she could be a formidable opponent once players have had enough time to practice working out her move set. Those who have the standard edition of the game, are able to try A.K.I for an hour thanks to the rental ticket available in the game’s hub, which is perfect before spending those hard earned battle coins.

Capcom have also used A.K.I’s addition to the Street Fighter 6 roster to bring in some other game changes, which we’ve listed below:

• Fighting Ground
  • A.K.I.’s story added to Arcade Mode.
• Battle Hub
  • Hub Goods Shop now includes A.K.I. Outfit 2, A.K.I. colors 3-10 and Street Fighter League avatar gear.
• General
  • Support for Latin American Spanish in subtitles and other text will be added, making it the 14^th in-game language to be supported.
  • Custom Room Display Settings have been added and Training Mode features have been expanded.
  • In order to mitigate unintentional Super Arts from being performed, the input recognition frame of certain Super Art commands have been shortened. Due to this adjustment, players must input their commands faster or the Super Art may not be performed.
  • Additional various bug fixes and adjustments

Street Fighter 6 is available now on PC, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X|S.
