Season 2 Of Rumble Club Launches Today
The free-to-play physics-based multiplayer game, Rumble Club is launching its second season today. With the host of new goodies players can expect to pick up, the game’s developers Lightfox Games are adding a host of new game modes and tournaments for everyone to enjoy.
Rumble Club is positioned as a free-to-play battle royale that has players facing off against each other in wacky and outrageous minigames. Unlike some other multiplayer games of a similar vein, Rumble Club incorporates various modes that draw on skills that are more than running and jumping.
Season 2 brings a host of features including a new mode, map, seasonal gadgets, and fun cosmetics. All of which is set to a medieval fantasy theme. The action will take place around a new map, Punchington Castle. The first appearance of the map will begin with Rumble Run, a grand prix-style multi-round mode where only Punchies race to claim the top spot. There’s no reward for second place.
Tournaments will also make their debut in Rumble Club S2. Rotating Tournaments give players the chance to earn big rewards for every win as they aim to progress through the seasonal Tournament Track. Four more new maps feature in Tournaments, on top of Punchington Castle. These are titled; Desserted Island, Old Punchie Town, Dungeon Depths and Walk the Planks.
As The Launch season draws to an end, the space gadgets have been replaced by five new items for players to get their teeth into:
- Sword and Board – Tap to swing your sword knocking enemies up and then backwards, applying strikes! Hold down to block attacks.
- Crossbow – Fire a plunger from this crossbow for a single shot, or Charge up to fire a spread shot of 5 plungers!
- Faerie Wings – Fly through the air and sprinkle Faerie Dust before you come down with a crash, knocking enemies away and applying strikes. Pick up Faerie Dust to get a speed boost!
- Horsie – Ride into battle with your lance on the Horsie. Hit enemies with the end of your lance to apply 3 strikes!
- Ogre King – Go Ham with the Ogre King. Smash your opponents with a big ground slam in a long, narrow cone, sending them flying and applying up to 3 strikes.
As Rumble Club is a Free-to-Play title, there is a paid battle pass to help recoup development costs. This has seen several balances compared to last season’s pass including three times more cosmetics to earn, kingly skins, dragon emotes and epic helms. Gadget cards have also moved from the Premium Track to the Free Track.
Rumble Club is out now for Android, iOS and PC via Steam and Epic.
