Amy, Tails And Knuckles Jump Into Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble

Sonic the Hedgehog’s long-time pals are joining the Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble lineup. The trio of characters has been added to Sega’s monkey puzzle franchise as part of the SEGA Pass DLC, which has also seen the Blue Blur himself added as a playable character.

Tails, Knuckles and Amy are now playable in the game for those who either own the Digital Deluxe edition of the game or have purchased the Sega Pass separately. Each character can be used across both Adventure Mode and Battle Mode and comes with unique stats to help them through the stages. As a bonus, the usual bananas that are strewn about each stage are replaced with Gold Rings.

With Tails, Amy and Knuckles now joining Sonic, four of the six characters that make up the DLC have been released. Next on the list will be Crazy Taxi‘s Axel and Beat from Jet Set Radio, who will enter the Monkey Ball madness sometime in September. Completing the pack will be several costumes for AiAi and the gang, including one that pays homage to Shadow the Hedgehog.

Rounding out the content for Banana Rumble, fans can expect to see a new multiplayer mode along with an accompanying new stage by the end of the year. Sega is keeping the details under wraps but we’ll be keeping a close eye on what these extras include closer to their release.
