Batman Arkham City Gameplay Trailer

Warner Brothers have released a 11 minute gameplay video for Batman Arkham City. It shows off how the combat system works, some of the story involved and some of the key characters of the game. If you are not a fan of spoilers do not read on.

The video starts presumably at the beginning of the game where Catwoman is after a memory card for an unknown purpose. After defeating a number of henchmen, she seizes the card from a safe where she is captured. 24 hours pass and Batman is in Arkham City – looking for the Joker. He tracks down the place where Catwoman has been taken to. Harvey Dent (two face) is the man behind her capture.

After stopping the ex-Arkham inmates from beating up a reporter, he gives the Bat information saying the Riddler is up to no good. After some grabble action to the tops of roofs our hero descends to the entrance of the building where Selina Kyle is being held. Stealthily making his way in, he confronts Harvey and rescues Catwoman.

The trailer ends with the Joker trying to assassinate Catwoman but Bruce Wayne steps in and saves the day once again.

Footage is taken from the Xbox 360 and looks as good as Arkham Asylum with a fluid combat system, and using the stealth techniques and all of Batman’s gadgets makes this title more appealing. The game is due 21st October for PS3 and Xbox 360 systems and 2012 for the Wii U version.
