Binary Domain Multiplayer Details Announced

The world in 2080 will be a very different place and none more so than in Tokyo, where the city is divided by not only wealth but also environmental change as well, in the world of Binary Domain, the latest shooting game announced by SEGA, at the very least.

SEGA today announced a number of different character types and multiplayer modes, which will feature heavily in this up and coming shooting epic. Binary Domain is an original squad-based shooter by Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creator behind some of SEGAs most well-known video game franchises, including the critically acclaimed Yakuza series.

The currently announced multiplayer modes are:

Data Capture: race to capture the other team’s data module, with up to 10 players, it’s a futuristic capture the flag.
Domain Control: gain control of the most areas inside a strict time limit, with up to 10 players.
Team Survival: it’s a battle to the death, with up to 10 players.
Operation: Defend the supplies whilst being attacked, up to 10 players.
Invasion: Working as a team, destroy ever harder waves of robots, with up to 4 players.
Team Deathmatch: kill the other side as much as possible in the time limit, with up to 10 players
Free for all: simply destroy everyone, with up to 10 players.

With all of this, there are also 5 types of player to choose from, Heavy Gunner, Recon, Special Operations, Demolitions and Assault characters. Each has their own unique ability and all of them are deadly.

There’s currently no release date available, but it’s being pegged to be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only.
