We're suckers for a good puzzle game here at VGamingNews, and absolutely crazy about an escape room. So it will come as no surprise that one of our favourite (and most highly rated) games of 2022 was Total Mayhem Games asymmetric puzzler, We Were Here Forever. We Were Here Forever

While it feels like a lifetime ago already, the W.A.S.D. event was an excellent opportunity for us to try out some upcoming titles and stoke some excitement at some of the stellar games just on the horizon. One that seriously caught our eye was We Were Here Forever, the fourth and newest entry to the We Were Here franchise from Total Mayhem Games that asks two players to escape from a fantastical castle designed to imprison them forever.

The Super Mario Bros Movie Reviewed

Video game to movie adaptations tend to have a bad rep, with the nineties/early noughties being particularly dark periods of time. Tosh like Alone in the Dark, Dead or Alive and Doom being touted as the next great crossover, only to be ripped apart by fans and critics alike. Granted over the last few years, people have started to warm to them but the fact remains, most adaptations aren’t all that good. The worst mainstream failure lands at the feet of Nintendo, and their only attempt at a motion picture, the infamous live action attempt known as The Super Mario Bros Movie. The Bob Hoskins movie released thirty years ago and was so poorly received, that the Big-N dropped all future feature film products for the foreseeable future. That is, until Illumination Studios -the team behind Despicable Me, Minions and Secret Life of Pets came knocking with an idea of an animated version of Mario so grand that Miyamoto himself backed the project and saw it come to fruition.

Kao The Kangaroo: Oh! Well DLC

At the risk of digging myself into a hole, reviewing DLC is not typically VGamingNews’ bag. The reasoning behind this stance is that if a player already owns the title, they are more likely to have an opinion on new content based on their experience with the game. We’re not sure that a minor content addition will persuade new players to play the game. That being said, when Tate Multimedia got in touch about Kao The Kangaroo’s Oh! Well DLC, I agreed to bend the rules as I had unfinished business that needed taking care of.
