Super Rare Games has announced they are giving the Indie platformer Cavern of Dreams a physical release on Nintendo Switch. The game will have a print run of 4000 copies and is due to be up for preorders on 27 June.

Cavern of Dreams is an N64-style 3D platformer created by one-man developer Bynine Studio and published by Super Rare Games. The game takes inspiration from games like Banjo Kazooie and Spyro where players take the role of an adorable dragon called Fynn. Fynn sets out on a quest to find his unhatched siblings who have been scattered across the various worlds.

The difference with Cavern of Dreams is that Fynn is a pacifist, and while he can gain upgrades by collecting various items, there is no combat in the game. Instead, players have to use their noggins to solve puzzles, avoid enemies and use platforming skills to rescue the lost eggs.

Cavern of Dreams can be preordered from the Super Rare Website from Thursday 27 June and will retail for £36. As usual, there will only be 4000 copies available and will come with a random trading card, a lovely slip cover and a full-colour manual, something desperately missing in today’s world. Separate trading cards and bundles will also be available.

Cavern of Dreams is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC.
