Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Dives Onto Nintendo Switch
Ubisoft have revealed that the full Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection including single player DLC and two short films will make it’s way to Nintendo’s hybrid console in a matter of weeks.
The Ezio Collection will release on 17th February and bundles together the entire story of Italian master killer, Ezio Auditore da Firenze in three games; Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, along with two short movies – Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers. The suggested US price is $40 which will probably mean a £35 price tag.
In somewhat of a tradition with third party collections on the Nintendo Switch, there will be a ‘physical’ copy but only Assassin’s Creed II will be present on the game card. A download totalling 35GBs will need to be undertaken to get the rest of the game.
According to the Ubisoft press release:
Each game is improved with enhanced features such as the Switch’s handheld mode, HD rumble, touchscreen interface, and optimised HUD.
I’m not entirely sure how each game is improved with enhanced features such as handheld mode but I have my fingers crossed that come February, the game will work a lot better than the Assassin’s Creed III + Liberation Collection when that released back in 2019.
While it’s no doubt a good thing that Switch owners are now getting some of the best games in the series, it has been a little over five years since the games released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, where the collection is regularly discounted.
Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection is due out on Nintendo Switch from 17th February and is already out now across Xbox & PlayStation consoles as well as PC.
