Electronic Arts today announced at their conference at E3 this year that the much anticipated sequel to the loved Battlefield 2. Battlefield 3 is the next instalment in this huge franchise and is going to be released on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 this year. After three years of development the game has jumped ahead leaps and bounds thanks for the power of Frostbite 2 game engine and Battlefield 3 is the only FPS title currently using this game engine.
With a release date just around the corner of the 28th October, 2011.
