Bayonetta 3 Release Date Set For October
It’s been a long time coming for fans of Bayonetta and after initially being revealed in 2017, the Umbra Witch is finally back for her third outing this year. Platinum Games and Nintendo have released a new teaser trailer for the game as well as confirming that the Switch exclusive will release in October.
Due for release on 28th October, Bayonetta 3 looks set to be a bombastic return for the hack and slash adventure. From the trailer we see the return of the supporting cast; Jeanne, Ronin, Luka and personal favourite Enzo as they face a new enemy that threatens all realities. A new witch also appears and she’ll be playable during certain levels.
For fans who love violence but shy away from partial nudity, Platinum have also built in a ‘Naive Angel mode’ which retains all of the regular blood and guts, but Bayo’s magical suit doesn’t go astray while she’s casting her magic. This won’t be the default option and have to be activated through the in-game menu.
There’s not just one Bayonetta either, multiple witches from different dimensions join the fray as the Homunculi wreck havoc on Earth in a story that is set to be as bonkers as the last two games.
Speaking of which, Nintendo also announced a physical edition of the first Bayonetta will release in September, so players in the West will finally be able to own all three games as boxed copies.
Bayonetta 3 will release on 28th October exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
