Borderlands 3 Hits Nintendo Switch In October
Hot on the heels of the Borderlands Collection Pandora’s Box collection for other consoles, Gearbox Software and 2K also confirmed that Borderlands 3 will see a release on Nintendo Switch in the coming weeks.
Launching on 6th October 2023, the Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition is the latest addition to the cell-shaded looter/shooter franchise to the Switch. The game will take up both physical and digital releases and will sell for a recommended RRP of £49.99.
Originally releasing in 2019, the game takes place years after the events of Borderlands 2. Players will once again see the majority of the action take place on Pandora, but will be able to venture out into space looking for precious loot-filled Vaults.
Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch content includes:
- Borderlands 3 base game
- Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot
- Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock
- Bounty of Blood
- Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck
- Designer’s Cut
- Director’s Cut
- 30+ cosmetic items
While the game does feature both local and online co-op, the Switch version is limited to two player action, rather than the four player team-ups seen on the other platforms. While these versions also support crossplay, we’d expect the Switch version to forego this due to the limitations already present with the online play.
Borderlands 3 launches on 6th October for Nintendo Switch.
