Celebrate Back To Hogwarts With A New Look At Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy has been building up for some time now, and although the game has been pushed back into 2023, that hasn’t stopped Warner Bros Games and the developers Avalanche Software from sharing a new look at what the game has to offer on the official Back to Hogwarts day.
Throughout the wizarding world, the 1st September is the day where excited young witches and wizards set off from Platform 9 3/4 and board the train to the iconic school. To tie into the iconic date, WB Games have released a new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy, which has a glimpse of each of the four common rooms players can explore on 10th February.
Starting with Slytherin’s entrance hidden behind a slithering arch of a stone serpent, the trailer takes us on a tour of what to expect. The Gryffindor common room is the one people are mostly familiar with and while it is familiar, there are subtle changes that incorporate aspects of the books. The warm, brightly lit Ravenclaw lounge is a homage to the arts, and the Hufflepuff common room, which has not been seen before is bathed in natural sunlight through a skylight, players will have plenty to explore in the game.
What’s more, players who have a wizarding world profile can link their real world account to Hogwarts Legacy and shift their wand, house and look into the game before release. By heading to wizardingworld.com/legacyconnect to connect accounts, players will receive the special in-game items when Hogwarts Legacy releases next year. These include fancy new robes to show off gamer’s dedication to their respective houses.
Hogwarts Legacy is set to be an open-world role-playing-game set in the 1800’s wizarding world. Starting your life as a fifth year, you’ll create your own character, pick your own house and embark on a journey through new and familiar locations that have been seen in the movies, or described in the books. The whole new story focuses on exploring and discovering magical beasts, crafting potions, and learning your spells before setting foot outside of the castle walls and creating your own adventure that’s based on the decisions you make.
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to release worldwide for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on 10th February 2023. The Nintendo Switch release date will be confirmed at a later date.
