Destiny 2 Gets Mass Effect Crossover Next Month

Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 will be getting a crossover with Mass Effect starting next month. The collaboration between the Sony-owned studio and BioWare is set to allow Guardians to join the crew of the Normandy with new cosmetics and in-game items based on the popular space-RPG.

From 13 February 2024, players will be able to snag a Commander Shepard-inspired N7 armor set for Titans, a Garrus-inspired Vakarian set for Hunters, and a Liara-inspired Shadow Broker set for Warlocks. Guardians will be able to claim the Alliance Requisitions Bundle, including the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow, which will be available at no cost.

The news of the Destiny 2 x Mass Effect collaboration comes part of Bungie’s weekly update to the MMO-Shooter. Although as we are approaching the next expansion, the developers have taken to the web to announce further updates which should be rolling out to Guardians right now.

These include Riven’s Wishes, which are new weekly quests open to all players from today (30 January) until 12 March. These Wishes will be task Guardians with completing a pursuit each week to earn a token redeemable for a treasure trove of rewards. Choose from the Wish for Strength to earn Last Wish raid Deepsight weapons, Wish for Protection to armour up with Exotic gear from the Lightfall year, or Wish for Beauty to collect event mementos and essential Ascendant crafting materials.

That’s not all as Lightfall celebrations are also kicking off today with Moments of Triumph. This again is available to all Destiny 2 players from now until 3 June and sets the stage before The Final Shape. Moments of Triumph invites Guardians to conquer an array of Triumphs that honour the Lightfall season. While the event is available to all players who sign on to the servers, certain Triumphs will only be available to season pass holders.

Those who complete the MMXXIII Seal though will be able to by an exclusive Moments of Triumph shirt from the Bungie Store via Bungie Rewards. Players who complete the Paracausal Adventurer Triumph by tackling the past year’s raids and dungeons can unlock an exclusive patch through Bungie Rewards to enhance their Moments of Triumph shirt.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Destiny 2: The Final Shape will release 4 June 2024.
