Eastasiasoft Holds Nintendo Direct Style Presentation To Announce Next 3 Months Of Games
Independent publisher eastasiasoft has lifted the lid on their winter schedule with a Nintendo Direct/PlayStation State of Play style video. 7 games will be launching between December and February across multiple different platforms. Here’s what’s been announced!
Outlined below are all of the games you can be playing, along with the video presentation direct from eastasiasoft. Be advised that some of these titles are for the mature audiences.
Crawlco Block Knockers – Nintendo Switch – 17th December
A puzzle game with a sexy twist. Crawlco Block Knockers from developer Cosmi Kankei is a match-3 style arcade puzzler that gradually reveals scantily clad anime ladies. Titillation aside, this puzzle game actually has some depth. The 16-bit game has players jump, kick and smash through a huge variety of stages while avoiding enemies and use quick thinking to take down massive bosses in order to progress with the puzzle solving.
Drunken Fist – Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 – 23rd December
You know when you just need to find your way home after a night out? Drunken Master by DEKLAZON’s is exactly this. The brawler features 7 levels to stumble through. Using rag doll physics (because we’re all like this after a few too many!) you attempt to beat up no good punks, jocks, cops and hipsters who get in your way. As with any brawler, looking for food and bottles to collect is a must. Just don’t pass out!
Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story – Nintendo Switch – 7th January
Survival horror meets dystopian science fiction in Suzaku Games and Top Hat Studios’ Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story. The side-scrolling action adventure stars Mei-Lin Mak as she peers into a century-old mystery, piecing together the truth of 14 lost souls and her own family curse. A range of cybernetic upgrades will be available and is definitely one to watch.
The Pillar: Puzzle Escape – Nintendo Switch, PS4 & Xbox One – 13th January
Escape rooms are ridiculously popular. Imagine if someone uses that thinking in a video game. Can you see where we’re going with this? Paper Bunker’s The Pillar: Puzzle Escape is a 3D puzzler in the style of an escape room game. There is a mysterious island to explore, each leading from one series of puzzles to the next. The art direction reminds us of early PS2 games but with the modern era tech behind it.
Teratopia – Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and Steam – 20th January
We love our platformers. Especially the early 3D ones.Developer Ravegan shares this and has created Teratopia, a 3D platformer beat ’em up. Chosing one of 3 heroes with their own unique abilities, you have to explore and defend your home from the imposing enemies. With the 13 levels and light RPG elements, Tertopia looks like a lot of fun.
Project Starship X – Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 – 27th January
Billed as a “cosmic Lovecraftian parody” Panda Indie Studio’s, Project Starship X is a vertical shooter. Oddball characters, weapons and baddies are in abundance and it’s your job to blast through them all. The game uses a procedural generation system to keep the game fresh. We make no secrets of loving Shmups and when a 16-bit bullet-hell game comes up, we tend to take notice.
Harbroxia 2 – PC, PS Vita, PS4, Switch & Xbox One – 3rd February
Not content with giving us one shoot ’em up, eastasiasoft give us two! Habroxia 2 is another bullet-hell style game, although this time it goes from vertical to horizontal and back again! Also releasing on the Vita, yes, that’s not a typo, this old school shooter combines crisp looking graphics with an amazing soundtrack and a great looking collectors edition.
So there you have it, 7 games coming out over the next three months, all published by eastasiasoft. We’re excited to get our hands on some new shooters, but they all look really interesting.
