Nintendo haven’t forgotten gamers who want to play games with a purpose though, they’ve kept their word and they’ve also confirmed Fire Emblem: Awakening to the European masses today as well.

Whilst many people only know Fire Emblem from the back of Super Smash Bros Melee in the UK, it’s a huge franchise that’s getting more and more popular in the UK as Nintendo opens up the series.

What has been confirmed though is that it’s not this year. Fire Emblem: Awakening is a 2013 game, but will make full use of the internet to provide new features, StreetPass and SpotPass functions are supported as well and access to new downloadable content as well.

But we’re going to have to wait for more information, as it’s 2013 bound.
