Gamescom 2021 Indie Booth Presents: A Juggler’s Tale

A Juggler’s Tale is from German developer kaleidoscube that is currently scheduled for release this year on PC, Playstation, Xbox & Nintendo Switch. In this 2D side scrolling game where marionette Abby has escaped her captors and has set off on an adventure to explore a medieval fairy tale inspired world.

As Abby traverses the lands, she realises that the landscapes, while stunning are full of dangers. A Juggler’s Tale unfolds like a traditional fairy tale mixed with a puppet show, and the game’s puzzles are built around this concept. In the above trailer, we see Abby struggling to walk under a box suspended above her, and we have to work out a way to help her continue. While we have control over Abby herself, the game is narrated by the puppet master pulling the strings.

A Juggler’s Tale is set to focus on a short run time packed with an rich story & soundtrack and we think it’s shaping up quite nicely. The visuals look deep and engaging and the story sounds like it will be emotional to say the least.
