Hero’s of Ruin Announced by Square Enix

Square Enix today announced that they will be bringing a brand new adventure to the Nintendo 3DS. Heroes of Ruin gets four unlikely heroes and packs them together to form a powerful and fearsome alliance. Using all of the new features that the Nintendo 3DS has as well as support for online play and a wealth of social gaming features, gamers will be able to experience new ways to play Heroes of Ruin day by day.

Heroes of Ruin uses the 3DS’ StreetPass to create new in-game “Traders’ Network” where players can buy an sell rare and powerful items when they are picked up in battle. Players can also use SpotPass to reward players with one-off rare items or random challenges through the Wi-Fi hotspots.

Heroes of Ruin also allows players to carve their own adventure, joining forces with other teams and heroes through seamless drop in, drop out co-op multiplayer mode. Heroes can explore and fight through wild, varied and dynamic environments, discovering new layouts and routes each time they play. Packed with strange and deadly creatures, these dangerous lands will stretch players’ combat and tactical skills as they enhance their character, collecting loot, weapons and armour to empower them on their quest.
