Square Enix have announced that a HD remaster of the 1999 PlayStation RPG Classic; Legend of Mana is coming to Europe on the 24th June to both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

The fourth entry in the Role Playing Mana series, Legend of Mana sees you take control of a hero who wakes from a dream to find the world of Fa’Diel is completely empty. It is up to the player to explore the world, fill it up and restore the Mana Tree to it’s former glory. Sounds simple right?

Legend of Mana features a top down environment to explore as well as typical turn based RPG action and promises to keep you busy for quite a while.

The game comes with remastered HD graphics, new musical arrangements. Square Enix also promises “other features” which will likely be revealed closer to the game’s launch. From the trailer above, the game looks absolutely stunning.

We’ve no idea why the game never made it to Europe, but we’re glad that with the SNES trilogy now finally complete, we get to experience what is pretty much a new game in the series. Unless you imported it. Or are reading this in a country which did get the game.

Legend of Mana releases on 24th June on both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
