Lost Planet 3 screens

Last week,
we brought the news that Lost Planet 3 had been announced by Capcom and now have the images and video that is showing how the game is taking shape. The game is currently under development by Spark Unlimited and is due early 2013.

Lost Planet 3 introduces Jim, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III. Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) who are preparing the planet for colonization, Jim joins his fellow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins surveying the uncharted terrain and obtaining samples of the planet’s energy supply – Thermal Energy.

Lost Planet 3 brings the action back to E.D.N III and it is up to Jim to find an energy source to get a big pay out to help his family. The game itself will be a third person shooting game where Jim will be blasting any visible bugs and delving deeper into the Lost Planet universe.

Lost Planet 3 will be made available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in 2013.
