Taking away the gruesome moves from previous games would surely deem it less interesting if you’re into Ninja Gaiden in the first place. However, it has been assured  it is just as blood thirsty and sadistic, possibly even more so than it’s predecessors.

Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi has mentioned how although the game may not continue quite so much dismemberment, they are in fact making the game feel more real to player. Yosuke Hayashi had this to say:

“we wanted to focus on the act of cutting someone down, and what it’s like to actually kill someone with a sword. Once you start lopping off limbs, your enemy goes from being a living thing that you’re killing to just a thing.”

“When you’re actually cutting into a person, and you feel them getting scared, and the blood is spraying right on you, you hear their dying breaths in your ear — that’s the kind of visceral violence we’re going for in Ninja Gaiden 3.”

Making games more realistic certainly seems to be the way forward with many titles at the moment. This falls nothing short of becoming as real as it can get for all the gamers out there who truly want to feel what it is like to save the world as a merciless ninja hero.
