Of Bird And Cage is a unique title we’ve had our eyes on for a little while now and it finally launches on Steam today. Created by Capricia Productions and published by All in! Games, the game is actually a 2 hour heavy rock/metal album presented as a story driven video game. Artists from some of the world’s heaviest rock bands such as Guns N Roses, Within Temptation, Asking Alexandria & Kamelot have come together to provide music for the score.

While being an excellent name for a metal band, Of Bird And Cage has you diving into a dark, twisted game specifically tailored to its music. Playing as Gitta Barbot, a drug addict who is trying to escape the physical and mental abuse from her captor, this two-hour-long story of trauma, violence, and madness (loosely based on ‘Beauty and the Beast’) has you making quick choices that could have dire consequences. The actions taken will reveal new paths all while struggling to keep your sanity.
