Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3 has finally been shown for the first time at Nintendo’s E3 conference. It has been too long since the little guys were last seen on the Gamecube but the Pikmin are back for the WiiU and this time they have brought a friend.

The game will feature Rock-Pikmin which throw objects at enemies to give you a more advantageous stance than the garden enemies you’ll be facing. The aim of the game has stayed the same – collect objects and beat enemies. With the Wii U, Nintendo have designed Pikmin 3 using HD graphics and what’s more, is that the controller can be used as a full blown navigation map so you can see where objects might lay or where a lost Pikmin can be brought back to the crew.

No word on if Pikmin 3 will be a launch title for the Wii U but expect more information to follow in the coming weeks.
