Post Void Is Coming To Consoles Next Month
Indie developer YCJY has announced that Post Void, a franetic first person shooter that we’ve had our eyes on for a while, is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in July.
After a successful release on Steam, Post Void, a psychedelic first person shooter is coming to consoles on 21st July.
Post Void is a randomly generated pixel shooter that’s described as a “hypnotic scramble of early first-person shooter design that values speed above all”. The aim is to run through the levels as quickly as humanly possible and avoid getting shot by the bad guys. Everything is against you in each run, if an enemy shoots you, you die. If you stop moving, you lose health, and die.
The arcade nature means that you get as far as possible, and when you inevitably fall victim to one of the obstacles, then you start all over again, with each run being completely different to the last. Post Void looks to take its queues from Doom and Quake with the old-school, ultra violent shooter vibes, but the visual style really jumps out of the screen, especially when in motion.
The PS5 version of the game will also include use of the DualSense’s haptic sensors to further immerse into the gun play.
Super Rare Games, who’ve previously released the excellent Grapple Dog are handling the digital distribution for Post Void and is the first time they’re releasing a game on PlayStation.
Post Void makes it’s way to the PlayStation Store with both PS4 & PS5 versions, as well as the Nintendo e-Shop on 21st July.
