After the success of Prinny Presents: NIS Classics Volume 1 last year, why wouldn’t NIS America delve back into the archives and pull two of their classic S-RPGs out of retirement and introduce them to a new audience? Today, the team have announced a May release date for Prinny Presents: NIS Classics Volume 2 along with a new trailer to show off exactly what to expect from this double pack.

Prinny Presents: NIS Classics Volume 2 contains both Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound & ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman with today’s the trailer focussing on Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound, which was originally released on the PlayStation 2 way back in 2005. Here we are introduced to Zetta an Overlord who happens to have been turned into a book and is overthrown in his Netherworld.

Utilising clever strategies and powerful magic, along with the usual clout of deadly weapons ranging from broadswords to rocket launchers, the aim is to take back control of your enemies land that was stolen from you. Summoning the army through the new INVITE system allows the battlefield to be torn up with new characters. The ‘Petta Mode’ incudes a whole new, never before seen story.

ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman is a PSP game from 2010 is another tactical RPG that allows players to explore randomly generated, multi-level dungeons and kick butt by literally throwing enemies around the battlefield. We expect another trailer shedding light on this game, and how it has changed from the PSP outing to be revealed at a later date.

As is tradition with NIS America, both standard and collector’s editions can be ordered in physical form from the NISA Europe website.

Prinny Presents: NIS Classics Volume 2 releases on PC and Nintendo Switch on 13th May for us in the UK/EU and Australian regions. The North Americans get the game on the 10th May.
