Nintendo have now confirmed that the 2009 game, Professor Layton and the Last Specter will be release in the US in Autumn this year, which means a UK release is highly likely based on the current performance of the franchise. Last Specter has been confirmed for the Nintendo DS and will not feature any 3D graphics and Nintendo are not enhancing the three year old game to fit into the new 3D model of the world.

The story is the standard Layton fare, something strange happens and it’s time to find out what it was. With over 100 hours of gameplay and a lot of brain teasing puzzles, Layton was a huge success in Japan and is likely to be so in the UK and USA. Note the incorrect spelling of the game title, as Specter in UK English is spectre, so it’s currently a very American title.
