PS3 Price Drop

Sony have confirmed today that the 160GB Slim will drop to £199.99 as a RRP. This means that retailers could potentially sell the console at a lower price, with reports saying retailers are looking at £179.99 – the same price as a Nintendo Wii just 8 months ago!

While still the more expensive home console, this does bring it closer to the Xbox 360. This could mean a shift for Sony who have been struggling to recreate the success of the PlayStation and PS2.
