Release Date For Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Expansion Set
Capcom have confirmed that the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise will be heading to PlayStation and Xbox consoles in the coming months. The update includes the first three content drops, with more to follow as at a later date.
Originally released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, Monster Hunter Rise has been ported to PC, and in January finally hit both last and current generations of PlayStation and Xbox. The Xbox version also launched on Game Pass. In the next phase of release, the Sunbreak expansion will now release on 28 April.
The large Sunbreak DLC originally released for PC and Switch in June 2022 and introduced a bulky update to the main game. A new area known as The Citadel features new hunting grounds along with a new port town, Elgado Outpost acting as the base of operations.
Quality of Life changes were also included Rise‘s update, including a Master Rank for more experienced hunters and the ability to swap between two separate load-outs during the hunt. All this content does come at a price and preorders for the update are live for £34.99/$39.99.
It is worth noting that the base game is currently on sale across both Xbox and PlayStation platforms for those looking to join the hunt now.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available now for PC and Switch, with the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and Xbox One versions coming on 28th April 2023.
