Resident Evil 6 Confirmed

CAPCOM have today announced that the much rumoured Resident Evil 6 has been confirmed. And what’s more is that it will be in our consoles in time for Christmas! on 20th November 2012 the evil will once again be unleashed into the world. Set 10 years after the Raccoon City Incident, the president of the United States has decided to tell the world about the events that took place there.

Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.

That is right folks, Leon and Chris are in the same title! CAPCOM have confirmed that new characters will also take a role in Resident Evil 6. In the same vien as Resident Evil 5, there will be a dark single player mode and a co-operative offering.

Resident Evil 6 launches on PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360 on 20th November. With it being close to the Christmas period, don’t rule out a Wii U appearance just yet… More information to follow.
